MAXIME BALLESTEROS | KING SIZE
The second edition of RADIUS. features the French photographer MAXIME BALLESTEROS who you may already know from the Visual Diary of our first issue. He has also contributed the cover photo for issue 2. Originally from Lyon, Maxime has been living and working in Berlin since 2007. His photographs have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in France, Belgium, Russia, Germany, Great Britain and Denmark.
Ballesteros' raw aesthetic forces the viewer to deal with the inescapable intimacy shared with the people and objects depicted in his work. It is the beauty which he finds in the harsher side of reality which makes his images so engaging and poignant. The image ‘King Size’ is part of the series ‘La Plage’ which contains photographs taken by Ballesteros on his various travels.
